Behind the corner

What would you do if your entire professional career became obsolete?

In the past two years, AI has made giant leaps forward. What started as a proof of concept that left us in awe has now reached a point where it’s nearly impossible to distinguish between what is human and what is robotic.

Imagine the scenario just a few years from now—let’s say by early 2030. What do you think a machine will still be incapable of doing?

I feel sorry for anyone who believes most of us will have a place in that paradigm. The argument that AI will give us superpowers and serve as a complement to our work is very weak. Not to mention those who smugly try to sell the idea that the real threat is not AI itself but those who master its use.

That line of reasoning might hold true today, but not tomorrow.

Why do you think we are being gradually introduced to the concept of Universal Basic Income? How can this be justified when debt levels keep growing, taxes are skyrocketing, and wages barely increase?

I believe there is no battle to fight. What we need to do is seek a life purpose today—a purpose that will endure over time. The vast majority of Western society finds purpose in work, and this is going to be completely dismantled before long.
