There is something deeply daunting about About pages. I always take the easy way out and boil myself down to my professional side: a list of highlights, carefully made up, of course. Like supply with no demand.
All to avoid scratching at the big question: who am I?
Today won’t be the day I answer it. For now, I’ll settle for saying that I’d rather not give in, once again, to the temptation of defining myself as a thing. I’ll let you build that idea, reader. Out of my ideas, my curiosities, my wants, my contradictions.
The truth is, it doesn’t lie in how I define myself, but in how you read me.
What I’m doing now
- Picking this blog back up soon, out of a personal need to put my ideas in order and get better at structuring information and my own thinking.
- Working as a Senior Design Engineer at Monad Foundation, Ethereum’s best hope.
- Before that, I was a Senior Design Engineer and Design Manager at Edge & Node, the founding team and creators of The Graph.
- Co-founder of Etéreo, a software engineering agency.
- Co-founder of Minagi, a smoke-free space where we build and tear down software products with no qualms.

About this site
For a while it lived on Hugo, for its minimalist philosophy, its extraordinary speed and, I confess, as an escape from my day-to-day in Next.js. I moved it to Astro for one very specific reason: I wanted a portfolio section with no ceiling, where a project can be an interactive prototype if it feels like it, and in Hugo that meant wrestling with templates. Nor did I want to juggle two frameworks at once.
The condition was that the rest of the site wouldn’t pay for that whim. Every page is static HTML and a single stylesheet of a few kilobytes, written by hand, with no CSS frameworks and no fonts to download. An article doesn’t ship a single line of JavaScript. React only shows up in the project that asks for it, and only on that page.
The writing is still the same markdown files, at the same addresses.
It spent some time on Vercel and today it lives on pico.sh, where publishing means uploading files over SSH. I write in markdown and deploy with a CLI I made for the job: a single command builds the site, uploads it and leaves a mirror copy on prose. My SSH key is all the identity it needs.
The idea goes way back. In 2022 I wrote about prose, a child of pico.sh. Four years later, the site has ended up exactly there.
